What is RSS?
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication, and is a standard for web feeds. A feed is a stream of data published by a web site that contains information from that site. You can find out lots more about RSS on Wikipedia.
Feeds are not particularly readable by human beings, because they contain XML code, so it’s common for people to subscribe to an RSS feed using a feed reader, which could be either a web site or a desktop application. Feed readers format the data in an RSS feed to make it look attractive and suitable for humans to read.
There are lots of great feed readers out there. Here’s a list.
