Hello Philip and Donald, I am a regular listener to your podcast. I heard you in this session talk about the use of jazz fonts, which would be not as legible as the standard fonts (like bravura). I typically use for my compositions the Petaluma font. Is this nog advisable for use outside of jazz?
Thanks for your time

Thanks for tackling my question! I recently purchased one of the Henle metal engraving plates, so I will take your suggestion and try to mimic the print of that. (It’s Dorico specific, but I think that was also the approach of John Barron’s video on part layouts.)
I wish we had an open text book or repository of tricky engraving tasks or useful examples to emulate. Maybe we’ll all have time to make one someday…

Thanks for the great question, Jon!
