W3C Music Notation Community Group meeting at Musikmesse 2019

The W3C Music Notation Community Group met in Frankfurt during the 2019 Musikmesse trade show on April 4, 2019. Michael Good, Adrian Holovaty, and Daniel Spreadbury chaired the meeting, which included members of the Community Group and interested guests from the field totaling 29 attendees. This was the first meeting for Adrian Holovaty while serving as co-chair of the group.

Topics of discussion included SMuFL 1.3 and 1.4, MusicXML 3.2, the DAISY Consortium on Braille music, and MNX.

This meeting was followed by a meeting of the co-chairs on April 16, 2019, to further discuss MNX-Common and MusicXML 3.2. Minutes of this meeting were published by Daniel Spreadbury on the W3C Group site.

    This is MOST fascinating! I had not come across this before in my almost 70 years being a musician and very involved with music notation programs from the earliest years. I look forward to following up on this trend. Well done!
