Beginning to Intermediate Sibelius

San Rafael, CA
Offered through the Intel Computer Clubhouse (at the Renaissance Entrepreneurship Center), this six-hour hands-on workshop focuses on building the skills and techniques necessary to efficiently and properly use Sibelius music notation software. The training will consist of both directed modules and self-paced projects and is designed for music teachers, music students, composers, arrangers, and music copyists using any version of Sibelius. Topics covered include:
- Getting around the interface
- Bar and note selection
- Creating a score
- Note and text entry
- Basic editing
Tuition is $200.

Intermediate to Advanced Sibelius

A continuation of the Beginning to Intermediate Sibelius training, this workshop focuses on learning intermediate to advanced techniques in using the software. The training will consist of both directed modules and self-paced projects and is designed for music teachers, music students, composers, arrangers, and music copyists using any version of Sibelius. Topics covered include:
- Filters
- Plug-ins
- Exploring the various Ribbon tabs
- Learning about layout and formatting
- A tour of the new features of Sibelius 7.5

It would certainly be nice to have a workshop on the eastern side of the US. Surely there are other Sib users that would appreciate training on our side of the country.
