Upcoming: NAMM 2020

News

2019 is hindsight and we’re seeing clearly for 2020. There’s nothing to sharpen one’s focus like a good music technology convention, and that’s why once again I’ll be attending the NAMM Show in Anaheim, California. This year’s show will run from January 16-19, 2020, at the Anaheim Convention Center and surrounding venues, which seem to multiply each year.

I invite you to follow along with me as I publish a series of posts covering our niche of music notation software and related products. All of them will be tagged with “NAMM 2020”, so if you miss one, just follow this link to get up to speed.

I’ll have a mix of product coverage and interviews with representatives from the companies in our field whose products you use every day, including MakeMusic, Avid, Steinberg, Noteflight, and more. If past is prologue, we may see some notable product updates coinciding with the 2020 NAMM Show, so keep your eyes peeled for all the latest news and reviews.

Will you be exhibiting a product at NAMM, or will you be attending the show? Please get in touch.

If you’ll be at NAMM and are interested in the products we cover here on Scoring Notes, check out these vendors:

  • Alfred Music/MakeMusic (booth 11402)
  • Artesia (booth 8510)
  • Avid (booth 15500)
  • Hal Leonard (booth 8910)
  • Presonus (booth 18801)
  • Sonic Scores (booth 10510)
  • Yamaha/Steinberg (Elite 2 ballroom in Marriott)

Whether you’ll be at NAMM or you’ll be following coverage on Scoring Notes (or both), enjoy the show!
