Sibelius workshops November 3 & 10 in South Africa

News
Kenridge Primary School in Durbanville, Cape Town, South Africa

Engela Fullard of Note-so-easy will be holding workshops on two successive Saturdays in November in South Africa. The first one is just two days from now, November 3 in Durbanville, and the other one is November 10 in Johannesburg.

Engela writes:

There will be 2 sessions at each location, the first one for beginners to intermediate, and the second, intermediate to advanced. People can bring their laptops if they wish, but it is not essential. In Session 1 there will be the usual introduction to the new User Interface, opening and creating scores as well as creating customized Manuscript Paper; different types of selection (single, multiple and continuous); adding bars, dynamics, accidentals, etc; different methods of note input and playing back scores, etc.

In the following session I will do a brief review of Session 1 topics, then chord symbols; more editing; multiple voices; formatting and layout; filters and plug-ins; exporting. Music teachers are particularly interested in using Photoscore, so I will be working with a PDF and Photoscore Ultimate. They are also keen on setting theory papers. For this I will use Sibelius in combination with a word processor (Microsoft Word), which works well for me. People seem to be a bit apprehensive about Flexi-time input, and I will do my best to make it (look) easy for them.

Each session is 2.5 hours long and there is a discount for registering for both. Full information is here. If you attend, please let me know how it goes!

    Good Morning

I would like to find out if there will be any more of these Sibelius training work shops in 2014?

    Kind regards

    Rikalet
