Engela Fullard of Note-So-Easy is holding another Sibelius workshop, this time in Johannesburg. Engela says the following:
There will be a Sibelius “How to…” workshop/presentation in Johannesburg, South Africa, on 27 July 2013 at St Andrew’s School for Girls. This will be the second one in Johannesburg, but certainly not the last. It is a full-day package deal for R750. Attendees will receive a manual and lunch is included in the fee. There will be 2 modules, the first one covering the basics and then some more advanced functions in the second module. I am looking forward to meeting and motivating new music teachers and sharing my Sibelius knowledge and experience with them.
The modules consist of:
Module 1
- navigate around scores
- start a new score
- input notes and rests with Mouse & Keyboard panel, Mouse and Keypad Alphabetical Input and with Step-Time
- playback & use the mixer
- make different selections
- copy, multi-copy and edit
- add lyrics, dynamics, tempo & other text
- transpose
- do printing
Module 2
- creating your own templates (Manuscript)
- inputting Notes with Flexi-time
- writing for voices
- adding lines
- adding chord symbols
- using filters
- making use of plug-ins
- doing layout & formatting, including make into system or page breaks, creating auto breaks, reset note positions, and work with a small staff
- working with and creating new parts
- exporting files
The workshop will take place on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at the St. Andrew’s School for Girls from 8:30 am – 3:00 pm. Space is limited, so if you’re interested, all of the details are available at the Note-So-Easy web site.
