Sibelius users group meeting in New York on January 23

DFA_BEYAZ_LOGO-ortal_Sibelius expert trainer Ernie Jackson has just sent me a friendly note about upcoming meetings for Sibelius users in New York City. The meetings will be on Thursday, January 23, 2014 from 6 – 8 pm and 8 – 10 pm at the Digital Film Academy, 630 Ninth Avenue, in midtown Manhattan.

In addition to being a music technology expert, Ernie is also a teacher at Queensboro College, a published author, and a tremendous guitarist.

Ernie says:

Hello everyone! I am holding a New York City Sibelius users group meeting on January 23, 2014 at the Digital Film Academy. There will be two 2-hour sessions. The first session will run from 6 – 8 pm, and the second session will run from 8 – 10 pm. The rooms can hold only hold 40 seats in a lecture style setting, so if you want to attend, please register for the event by clicking this link.

The purpose of the sessions is to introduce you to Sibelius 7.5 and its new features, scanning tips, and to introduce the Sibelius Certification Program introduced by Avid that will be implemented at the Digital Film Academy in the spring of 2014.

Please note: this will just be an introductory meet and greet, not a training session. If time allows, I’ll try to answer a few questions regarding any issues you have after the initial presentation. I look forward to seeing all of you then!

Avid has not officially announced Sibelius 7.5, but an announcement is widely expected at the 2014 NAMM show next week.
