Summer is just around the corner, and if it’s summer, it must mean Sibelius workshops with Bruce Munson of Munson Music Services. He wrote in to let me know of two training sessions he’ll be running in July.

Beginning to Intermediate Sibelius
July 20
San Rafael, CA
Offered through the Intel Computer Clubhouse (at the Renaissance Entrepreneurship Center), this six-hour hands-on workshop focuses on building the skills and techniques necessary to efficiently and properly use Sibelius music notation software. Topics covered include:
- Getting around the interface
- Bar and note selection
- Creating a score
- Note and text entry
- Basic editing
The training will consist of both directed modules and self-paced projects and is designed for music teachers, music students, composers, arrangers, and music copyists using any version of Sibelius.
Tuition is $200.

Offered through Front Range Community College, this two-day workshop focuses on building the skills and techniques necessary to efficiently and properly use Sibelius music notation software. Topics covered include:
- Getting around the interface
- Bar and note selection
- Creating a score
- Note and text entry
- Basic editing
The training will consist of both directed modules and self-paced projects, with open lab on day two, and is designed for music teachers, music students, composers/ arrangers, and music copyists using any version of Sibelius. An introduction to PhotoScore and music scanning is included. Teachers will receive re-certification credit.
Tuition is $300.
