On Saturday 12 February, you can attend a workshop for beginner to intermediate users, focusing on:
- Getting around the interface
- Bar and note selection
- Creating a score
- Note and text entry
- Basic editing
The training will consist of both directed modules and self-paced projects and is designed for music teachers, music students, composers/ arrangers, and music copyists using any version of Sibelius. A tour of the new features of Sibelius 6 is included.
On Saturday 26 February, you can alternatively attend a workshop for intermediate to advanced users:
This 6-hour hands-on workshop is a comprehensive training in the use of the music scanning software, PhotoScore Ultimate. The training consists of both directed modules and self-paced projects that include using on-site scanners (or your own scanner and laptop) and working with various types of hard-copy and digital source materials. The modules and projects all include the conversion of these source materials into Sibelius files via PhotoScore Ultimate, and intermediate to advanced techniques in utilizing Sibelius in this process will be introduced in the training. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own hard-copy music examples to scan. This workshop is designed for music teachers, music students, composers/ arrangers, and music copyists.
