Mike Klinger of the Synthesis MIDI Workshop, who runs in-person training courses from his facilities in Washington state in the Pacific north-west corner of the United States, is broadening his training offering this summer by running a 10-week online course in Sibelius 7 via the online learning provider, WizIQ. Mike told me:
Both my Sibelius 7 and Pro Tools 10 courses are ten weeks in length, and they start on 18 June, ending on 10 August. The cost is only $199, and optionally students can obtain three graduate college credits for an additional $150 through Seattle Pacific University. Once a person registers for the course at WizIQ, they can then request the credit and will be forwarded directly to SPU for college credit and payment. I have taken a great deal of time with these courses, and they come complete with my personal movies, tutorials, assignments, and music.

I’m contemplating purchasing a new DAW, and was wondering if Pro Tools would be better for me. I use Sibelius when composing and I believe that it it apart of Pro Tools, so it would be a “seamless” transition between score and sequencer.
Your thoughts (anyone’s) are greatly appreciated.
Thank, Bill
